Saturday, May 30, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Rain Date: May 31) COUNTY OF BERKS PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT The 27th Annual Fiddle Fest, sponsored by the James E. Fegley Violin Shop, CD Exchange, Meadowood Music, Robert Kain Country String Shop and presented by Berks County Parks & Recreation, will feature bluegrass and folk music performed on stage throughout the day.
ˆ· Spectators may simply sit back, relax and enjoy the music or join in the musical fun and perform on the open stage from 10 - 11:45 a.m., 1 - 1:30 p.m. or 6:25 - 7 p.m.
ˆ· The Full Circle Music Society will perform on stage from 11:45 - 12:45 p.m. Throughout the day, Full Circle will provide musical instruction & demonstrations for children in their "Half Circle Kid's Tent." Children can also visit a crafts tent where our volunteers will help them make fun musical instruments.
ˆ· The events main concert features popular local favorites: East Side Dave and the Mountain Folk Band playing from 2-3:45 p.m.
ˆ· The fiddle competition begins at 4 p.m. with 3 age groups competing for cash prizes: 10 & under, 11 - 18, and 19 & over.

Howard Hiester Canal Center and the Gruber Wagon Works will be open for tours on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit our Country Store for unique items made by local artists and crafters, a bit of Berks County flair! Bereavement support group
Sudsspirit is a bereavement support group is available to those who have experienced the Sudden Unexpected Death of a Spouse and are Survivors in Participation to Inform, Renew, Improve and Triumph.
The group meets monthly in an open forum with one or two topics each month along with handouts. Participation in the group is FREE and monthly attendance is NOT mandatory. The group has been meeting at the Exeter Community Library. The group was founded by Dominic Murgido, a survivor of his wife's sudden untimely death in a vehicle accident in January 2006, who recognized this kind of loss to be very different in emotions and feelings. He desired to help others who experienced the same kind of grief by providing a common gathering to help each other heal through their bereavement process.
