Daniel F. Addesso, 93, Shillington, died Sept. 11, 2008, in Reading Hospital, where he was a patient for two weeks.He was the widower of Mary D. (Ciufici) Addesso, who passed away April 11, 2002.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Sebastiano and Rose (Pepe) Addesso.
He was owner/operator of Dan Addesso Shoe Service, Reading, from 1950 until he retired in 1977. In his retirement, Daniel was an accomplished oil painter and artist, winning many state, county and local awards.
He was a member of St. John Baptist de La Salle Roman Catholic Church, Shillington.
Daniel was a member of Chestnut Field Archers of Morgantown. He also participated in many activities at local senior centers.
He is survived by a son, Daniel S. Addesso, and his fiancÃ&Copy;e, Donna Gring, Wyomissing; and a daughter, Loraine (Addesso) Beam, widow of Richard J. Beam, West Lawn.
Other survivors include a sister, Maria Parisi, Reading.
There are also two granddaughters, Stephanie, wife of Ralph Stamm, Blandon; and Audrey, wife of Robert Kocon, Bethlehem.
Bruce M. Erb
Bruce M. Erb, 62, a resident at Prospectus Berco since 1983, formerly of West Lawn, died Sept. 11, 2008, in the Sinking Spring residence.
Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Harold M. and Ruth E. (Degler) Erb.
He was also employed by Prospectus Berco, from 1983 to 2005.
Surviving is a sister, Karen F., wife of David Bensinger, Wyomissing.
