Exeter's Melissa Ellis has been having an outstanding season leading the Exeter High School girls'bowling team. She had an even better day last Friday, February 15 at the BCIAA Girls Individual Bowling Championship at Berks Lanes in Reading.After the first day and the first three games, Ellis holds a huge lead on the rest of the pack with a three-game series of 694. Ellis, who bowled games of ahead of her closest opponent, Charlotte Schiepe of Conrad Weiser.
The final three games were bowled on Tuesday, February 19 at Berks Lanes. Due to our press deadline, we are unable to report the results of the contest.
Ellis's teammate Chelsea Adam is right with the rest of the pack placing fifth with a three-game series of 628 (215, 201, 212).
Daniel Boone's Emma Minninger is right behind Adam in sixth place with a series of 621 (184, 221, 216), while Daniel Boone's Kristen Kerr is in 11th place with a series of 592 (220-213, 159).
Exeter's Megan Noll and Chelsea Lorah were both right there in 13th and 14th place respectively. Noll bowled a 572 (194, 215, 163) series and Lorah a 567 (158, 208, 201) series.
