Services were held May 2 for Gerald S. Rowley, 47, Bern Township, who died of natural causes April 27 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township, where he was a patient for two weeks.He was the husband of Joan A. (Piotrkowski) Rowley.
Born in Reading, he was a son of William A. Rowley Sr., Reading, and Irene E. (Hyneman) Rowley, Exeter Township.
Rowley worked for 20 years as an independent cross-country truck driver. He previously worked as a correctional officer at the Lehigh County Prison for five years and was a member of the local Teamster's Union at the prison.
He was a graduate of Wyomissing High School.
He is survived by a daughter, Kimberly J., Reading; and a stepson, Richard A. Bliesath Jr., Middletown.
Other survivors include a brother, William A. Jr., Sinking Spring; three nieces and a nephew.
Entombment was in Charles Evans Cemetery Mausoleum.
