merly of Leesport, died Sept. 1, 2008, at 9:50 a.m. in Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she was a resident since July 31. She was taken there from Country Meadows, Wyomissing, where she resided since May 2006.She was the wife of Elwood B. Kirkhoff, also a resident at Country Meadows. They were married Feb. 10, 1945, and celebrated 63 years of marriage.

Born in Greenwich Township, she was a daughter of the late James E. Sr. and Mamie (Leibensperger) Graham.

She worked for 42 years as a seamstress for the former Diener Knitting Mills, Leesport, until retiring in 1986. After retirement, she worked part time at Leesport Auction, working for different vendors.

Helen was a member of Bern Lutheran Church, Bern Township.

She was a member of Blue Mountain Chapter 443 Order of Eastern Star, Hamburg, for 20 years. She was also a member of Kutztown Fire Co. and Beneficial Association and Shoemakersville Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and Beneficial Association.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Beverly J. (Kirkhoff), wife of Terry L. Rishel, Millville, Columbia County.

Other survivors include a sister, Jean (Graham) Snyder, Leesport.

Helen is also survived by two granddaughters, Heather and Dawn; a grandson, Jed; four great-granddaughters and a step great-grandson.

Services were Sept. 5 at Leibensperger Funeral Homes Inc., Hamburg with the Rev. David L. Roper officiating. Burial is in Leesport Cemetery, Ontelaunee Township.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to American Heart Association, 25 Stevens Ave., Building A, Suite 10, West Lawn, PA 19609.
