P. Michael Ehlerman will succeed Bruce P. Bengtson as chairman of the Reading Hospital Board of Directors.Ehlerman has served as vice chairman for the last three years.
C. Thomas Work, a board member since 2004, was elected vice chairman of the board.
Ehlerman, of Wyomissing, served as chairman of Yuasa Battery Inc. of Reading prior to his retirement earlier this year.
A native of Montgomery, Alabama, but raised in Chicago, Ehlerman received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame.
Work, also of Wyomissing, chairs the Estates and Trusts practice group at Stevens & Lee, a regional law firm headquartered in Reading, with additional offices in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. Mr. Work concentrates his practice in estate planning and fiduciary litigation. He has been with the firm since 1977.
Work received his Juris Doctor Degree from Duke University School of Law.
