A Memorial Mass was celebrated for Jeri Kelsay Devlin, 76, of Exeter Township, who died Oct. 12 in Reading Hospital.She was the wife of Martin E. Devlin.
Born in Marion, Ind., she taught English and drama in Tucson, Ariz., and Deming, N.M. She later founded a school for mentally handicapped children in Santa Fe, N.M. and served as director at the Bonaparte School for the Mentally Handicapped in Chicago.
She was director of special educatio for Denver Public Schools in Denver, Colo., and the Reading School District.
Devlin received her bachelor's degree in education from Western New Mexico University, and her master's degree and doctorage in special education from the University of New Mexico.
She was a member of St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic church, where she served as lector and Eucharist minister.
She was also active in many theater groups as actress director and makeup artist.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Kate Kelsay, Denver and a son, Bruce Kelsay, Wheaton, Ill.
There are also seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contribuitons may be made to the American Cancer Society.
