Kutztown University Radio station has been recognized by the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) for qualifying for and exceeding the criteria for the “Intercollegiate Broadcasting System Platinum Microphone Award for Outstanding and Highest Broadcasting Excellence.”

The recognition comes approximately three months before the 2017 Intercollegiate Broadcasting System 77th Annual International School/College/Community Radio/TV/Webcast/Media Conference in New York City, in which KUR has taken home multiple awards and nominations in recent years including being nominated for “Best Radio Station at a University with under 10,000 Enrollment” and winning “Best Use of Social Media” and “Best News Interview.”

Michael Regensburger is advisor of the KU student run station.
