Lee. F. Stitzel, 69, Kutztown, died Sept. 16, 2008, in his residence.He was married to Phyllis J. (Manmiller) Stitzel for 48 years.

Born on the family farm in Richmond Twp., he was a son of the late Charles and Mary (Kurse) Adam Stitzel.

Lee had worked 22 years at the former Pennsylvania Steel Foundry in Hamburg until 1985. He then worked in partnership with his son as a well driller for Lenhart-Stitzel Well Drilling, Kutztown.

He was a member of Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, Kutztown, where he served as a past church treasurer. Other memberships included the Pike Township Sportsmen's Club, Hyde Park; the Loyal Order of the Moose in Hamburg and Kutztown, Virginville, Hamburg and Goodwill fire companies.

Surviving are a daughter, Lori A. (Stitzel), wife of Allen Spatz, Dryville; and two sons, Thomas L. Stitzel, at home, and Todd D. Stitzel and his wife, Tara, Kutztown.

He has four grandchildren: Christopher Spatz, Stephanie Spatz, Brandon Stitzel and Alicia Stitzel.

Services were Sept. 19 at Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, Kutztown. Burial was in Moselem Church Cemetery.
