From Berks-Mont SourcesAs floodwaters continue to destroy homes and threaten communities across much of the Midwest and West Virginia, the American Red Cross is providing assistance to those affected by the flooding.
Berks County Chapter volunteer Ruby Jackson left for Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Saturday, June 14 to help flood victims. Jackson will be on assignment for three weeks, and her role will be as a client caseworker, where she will be consulting with families and individuals in their time of need.
Jackson has been a volunteer at the American Red Cross, Berks County Chapter for more than three years, and this is her third national disaster assignment.
