Two businesses have teamed up to celebrate reopening by offering free haircuts in Kutztown.
kTown Hall and Fading Autism Barbershop will provide haircuts Saturday at kTown Hall in the old borough hall building, 277 Fair St. The building offers shared workspace to members needing a flexible office environment.
Fading Autism Barbershop is a Kutztown barbershop owned and operated by Frankel Antoine, with a nonprofit wing offering free haircuts to those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other related conditions.
The Quarantine Cuts event will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. It's intended to help those in the business community who are overdue for haircuts because of the COVID-19 related shutdown of salons, but it's open to everyone.
Those interested in receiving a free, 45-minute haircut are required to make an appointment through the kTown Hall website, www.ktownhall.com/events.
The space will be set up to accommodate social distancing and follow all other guidelines from the state. Masks must be worn. Beards are not included.
