Lehigh Valley Cancer Institute's mobile mammography coach will be stopping at Kutztown University on Thursday, Oct. 8, in the student recreation center parking lot.
Screenings will be offered to women over 40 years old who have not had a mammogram in the past year with no prescription needed. The screenings will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is open to the entire community.
Screening take less than 15 minutes to complete and the readings are performed by Lehigh Valley Cancer Institute doctors. The coach is only accessible by stairs and women will remain standing during their exam.
Appointments can be scheduled by calling 888-402-5846. Callers should have their physician's contact information and insurance card available at the time of the call. Grant funding opportunities are available for those over 40 years old without insurance.
