Amanda Tamashima, director of nursing at Ohesson, Lewistown, and Shelly Sweigart, director of nursing at The Lutheran Home at Topton, both Diakon Senior Living communities, recently completed leadership training through the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association’s Star Leadership Institute. The three-day training is competitive, with a limited number of nurse applicants accepted based on leadership experience, goals and recommendations.
