On Dec. 30 at approximately 3:41 p.m. police responded to a motor vehicle accident at Leithsville and Springtown Hill roads. According to police, Richard W. Deppen, 1015 W. Emaus Ave., Allentown, attempted to enter Leithsville Road (Rt. 412) from Springtown Hill Road while failing to yield the right-of-way to an approaching northbound vehicle, which was operated by Neici Talavera, 680 Pine St., Easton. As a result of Deppen's action a motor vehicle accident occurred, police said. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident. Deppen was cited under Pennsylvania Vehicle Code 3324, "Vehicle Entering or Crossing Roadway," police said. Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia'On Dec. 30, at approximately 9:03 p.m., police say Richard Flesher, Jr., 18, 2005 Sandbrook Dr., Bethlehem, was driving an Audi D3 when police received a call reporting a suspicious vehicle in the vicinity of Lower Saucon Road, south of Polk Valley Road. As police arrived at the scene, authorities say, Flesher drove off, but was stopped a short distance away. At that time police allegedly observed suspected marijuana on the driver's seat and console inside the vehicle. Flesher was subsequently taken into custody. When a passenger in Flesher's vehicle, Justin Randall Vivian, 18, 2021 Sir Walter's Way, Hellertown, exited the vehicle, police say baggies of marijuana were found with his wallet. Rolling papers were subsequently observed on the passenger side floor of the vehicle, and a metal "grinder" was found underneath the passenger's seat, police say. Both Flesher and Vivian have been charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police.
