Sunday, June 10, worship is at 8 and 10:30 a.m. We will honor our Graduates at both services. Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m.

Sunday, June 10 at 4 p.m. 2014 Confirmation Class will have their orientation.

Sunday, June 10 and every Sunday in June is drop off day for articles for our Annual Rummage Sale.

Monday, June 11 at 7 p.m. Union Council meets.

Wednesday, June 13 at 6 p.m. is the Choir Picnic in the park.

Zion's Union Church, Maxatawny

The annual Strawberry & Ice Cream Festival at Zion's Union Church, Maxatawny, will be held Friday, June 8 from 6-10 p.m. Music provided by Toad Creek Duo. There will be children's music at 6 p.m., children's games from 6:30-8 p.m. and food. The event will be held rain or shine.

Lenhartsville This week at Salem Church: Our traditional service was held at 8:30 a.m., Sunday School at 9:30 a.m., and our contemporary worship at 10:45 a.m. Pastor Dave Long presented the message 'Redeeming the Time' based on Ephesians 5:1-21. Our nursery attendant was Trish Wilson, and our Junior church leader was Mary Anne Koeppen. If you attended the traditional worship, you were greeted by Jordan and Amy Rice. If you attended the contemporary worship, you were greeted by June Weiskircher.

Upcoming Events: Our Men's Group is held Mondays at 7 p.m. Pilates is held on Wednesdays at 6 p.m.; volleyball is held on Thursdays at 7 p.m. Youth TGIF Summer Kick-off is Saturday, June 23.

Becker's, St. Peter's and Zion Moselem Lutheran

On Sunday, June 10, at 10 a.m., the Parish of Becker's, St. Peter's and Zion Moselem Lutheran Churches will be holding their annual outdoor worship and covered dish picnic at the home of Dr. Robert Hippert. Maidencreek Church Judge Jeffery K Sprecher presents Justice or Just This: A Constitutional Trespass on June 7 at 7 p.m. at Maidencreek Church, 261 Main St., Blandon. We have been discussing the tensions between faith/forgiveness and God's call for justice and the ways in which our criminal justice system seems (according to statistics) to fail to be just to minorities and the poor. Judge Sprecher will discuss these statistics and how judges no longer have discretion when sentencing.

New Jerusalem New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 27 Lyons Road, Fleetwood, on May 27 we welcomed the following confirmands to our fold: Taylor Cleaver, Josh Keck and Brooke Wengert. They were presented crosses by their mentors on behalf of the church and prayer shawls by the Prayer Committee. We hope to see these young people at our regular services.
