The 2nd Annual 5k Race Fun Run supporting the Brandywine Community Library took place on May 19 at the Brandywine Heights High School. Again, this served as an opening event for the Topton Community Day celebration. We had a great turn out with wonderful weather, and over 100 runners and 30 some fun run participants. The 5k course proved to be fast for the top male finisher: Ken Ruth with a time of 18:58. And, top female finisher, Kaitlyn Spangler, a BHASD senior, with a time of 20:49. Medals were awarded to the first and second male and female place finishers in the following age categories.
