Kutztown Borough Police Department
June 29: Police investigated the report of Vandalism to a vehicle after it was reported that the front windshield was cracked while the vehicle was parked at a residence in the 300 block of E. Walnut St.
Police are investigating the report of Graffiti Vandalism to the rear door of a residence located in the 00 block of Noble St.
June 30: Police arrested Kurt Burkhart, 30, of Kutztown, for Harassment/Physical Contact following an incident that occurred in the 100 block of Stimmel Alley.
July 1: Police investigated the report of Vandalism to a vehicle after it was reported that the vehicle was 'keyed' on the hood, drivers and passenger's front doors while parked at a residence in the 400 block of Sander Alley.
Police investigated the report of Vandalism to a building after it was reported that the windows were smashed and inside the building disturbed following an incident that occurred at the former Two Guys From Brooklyn, 478 W. Main St.
State Police: June 4 – July 1: Two unknown actors entered a residence on Pricetown Road, Ruscombmanor Township, taking a large amount of construction items and appliances, fleeing in an unknown direction. Anyone with information, contact state police, Reading, 610-368-4011, ext. 3.
July 10: around 8:45 p.m. a white male approximately 50-60 years of age went into the women's public bathhouse at Robin Hill Campground, Greenwich Township, and pulled a 14-year-old girl's hair and grabbed her face. The victim elbowed him, pushed him away and ran out of the building. The actor was described as a white male with short gray hair and a goatee, approximately 50-60 years old, of medium height and build and was wearing tan shorts and a white t-shirt. July 13 – 14: between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m., actors painted graffiti on the walls of the dug outs at the little league field at the community center in Albany Township. Actors then dumped cans of paint onto the infield ground. Anyone with information, contact state police, Hamburg, 610-562-6885.
Ruscombmanor Fire Company July 10: at 10:43 a.m. Company 34 and company 12 along with Blandon and Fleetwood EMS were dispatched to the intersection of Route 73 and Hartz Road for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Captain 32 came across the accident and reported a one vehicle accident with entrapment, he advised that doors would have to be popped.
Company 12 arrived on location and began stabilization as the car was perched precariously on a drainage culvert. After stabilization and patient access for EMS was completed, crews from company 34 and 12 placed hydraulic tools in service and worked together to extricate one patient, The patient was extricated within 15 minutes and was transported to the hospital by Blandon EMS.
Companies remained on location until the tow company removed the vehicle.Company 34 was back in station at 11:24
July 14: at 3:43 p.m. Company 34 along with Company 8 were dispatched to the area of SR 73 (Blandon Road) and Schmehl Road for a reported MVA with injuries and confinement.
Upon arrival crews found a three vehicle rear end type crash with no confinement issues. Crew from Company 34 and 8 stabilized vehicles and then assisted Blandon, Fleetwood and Oley EMS with packaging and loading 3 patients for transport to local hospitals.
Company 8 was released from the scene while Co 34 remained for debris clean up and traffic control until the vehicles were removed by the towing company. Company 34 was back in station at 5:02 p.m.

Fleetwood Fire Company Fleetwood Fire Company responded to ninecalls between July 3 and July 6.
July 3: at 11:15 a.m. QRS call to the 100 block of Cedar St., Fleetwood.
July 4:12:23 a.m. a possible structure fire. Smell of Smoke in the 500 block of Memorial Hwy in Ruscombmanor Twp.
At3:10 p.m. a shed fire at the Fleetwood Antique Complex on Route 222 in Richmond Twp.
At6:20 p.m. a QRS for a fall victim at the Fleetwood Pool.
At11:58 p.m. a Fire Alarm in the 000 hundred block of Main Street, Fleetwood.
July 5:at 10:46 a.m. a request for fire police at the Walnuttown railroad crossing for a Tractor Trailer stuck on the tracks in Richmond Twp.
At 11:44 a.m. a mulch fire with extension in the 500 block of Heritage Drive, Fleetwood.
July 6: 8:53 a.m. a motor vehicle accident with injuries. A car flipped over on Fltwd-Lyons Road near School Road, Richmond Twp.
At3:08 p.m. a motor vehicle accident on S. Richmond Street near Spruce Street in Fleetwood. Four vehicles involved.
Kutztown Fire Company June 25: the company was dispatched to I-78 at mile marker 39 for a brush fire. Berks County radio reported that Chief 590 was on location and it was a control burn at the Greenwich Township Building. Deputy 46 recalled the assignment.
June 30: company 46 was dispatched for an automatic fire alarm at 627 Seem Drive in the borough. Immediately after dispatch the homeowner reported alarm due to cooking and the assignment was recalled by Chief 46.
July 1: Company 46 and 33 were dispatched at 4:42 p.m. for a reported brush fire along I-78 at mile marker 38. Chief 46 & Deputy 46 went responding and received additional reports of multiple calls and the fire spreading up the hillside. Deputy 46 requested additional assistance from company 44 to attack the fire from the back side off George Road. Brush 46 & Engine/ Tanker 46 responded to the Interstate while brush 33 & Company 44 responded to George Road. An area about 150' X 150' burned up the hillside along the Interstate. Crews quickly knocked down the fast moving flames and started overhauling to be sure there was no rekindling of the fire.Crews cleared the scene at 6:18 p.m.
July 2:an accident on I-78 at mile marker 38.7 westbound. Rescue & Engine 46 responded with 6 personnel to find 2 vehicles with heavy front and rear damage after an accident in the construction zone during stop and go traffic.
Later on July 2, the company was dispatched for an odor of gas in the area of Highland Avenue. Engine, Rescue, and Ladder 46 responded with 11 firefighters. UGI was notified but nothing was found in the area.
July 3: the company was dispatched for a reported vehicle fire on the bypass near Hilltop Road. Deputy 46 responded along with Engine & Engine/ Tanker 46 to find a working fire. A quick knockdown was made by the engine crew and overhaul was initiated. Crews cleared the scene at 3:32 p.m.
July 6: heat caused a detector to activate in the attic at Kutztown Manor in the afternoon. Heat was the cause for the detector and maintenance was notified to repair the alarm. Later that afternoon a dispatch was made for a motor vehicle accident on the Interstate at mile marker 36 westbound. Company 46 was dispatched for fluids down after a vehicle hit the median. Rescue 46 along with 7 personnel responded to assist with traffic while the towing company cleared the scene.
July 7:A stormy Saturday brought multiple calls for the company. Three calls within a short time kept the company moving. A call for wires burning in the area of Arby's, a reported tree down and transformer fire on Eagle Point Road, and a fire alarm at Berks-Lehigh police due to a power failure. All three incidents were minor and the company quickly went available. Later on the company was dispatched for trees burning on wires on Highland Avenue in the borough. Engine & rescue responded to assist the borough electric crew with removal of the branches.
July 8: early in the morning the company was dispatched to 222 at Arby's for wires burning after power was restored due to the storm. MetEd was notified to remove branch as soon as they are able.

Week of July 9 – July 15 The Berks-Lehigh Regional Police Department responded to 228 assignments, 45 assists, 20 accidents, eight animal cases, four parking citations, 21 alarms, 32 EMS calls, four fire calls and 33 traffic citations.
