For a third consecutive year, Ryotaro Tashiro regional economic advisor for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia will present economic indicators and forecasts for 2019 at the Northeast Berks Chamber’s Annual Economic Forecast Breakfast held at Kutztown University’s McFarland Student Union, MSU Room 218, on Jan. 18.
Doors open at 7:30 a.m., and the meeting sponsored by Fleetwood Bank will run until 9 a.m. and is open to the public.

An Annual Meeting of Members of the Northeast Berks Chamber will precede Tashiro’s presentation. New and outgoing board members and board officers will be recognized as part of the agenda.
Tashiro is responsible for conducting research on current regional economic issues in the Federal Reserve’s Third District and informing external audiences on national and regional economic conditions, monetary policy, and the role of the Federal Reserve in the economy.
Prior to joining the Bank in June 2016, Tashiro was a business analyst for Bloomberg, where he was responsible for conducting research on issues related to equity data quality. He also has substantial teaching experience, ranging from high school advanced placement economics to undergraduate intermediate Japanese and intermediate Spanish.
Tashiro has a master’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Kenyon College.
