Area trio in Berks vs. PAC-10 all-star battleExeter High School players Matt Farrell and Eric Pepper participated in the PAC-10 vs. Berks League all-star game played on Saturday, June 14.

Both Farrell and Pepper went 0-for-1 in the game.

Daniel Boone's Toby Davis also participated.

Davis was 1-for-2 with an RBI. Davis drove home Holy Name's Mark Yost on a fielder's choice ground out in the seventh inning to give Berks its first run of the game.

The PAC-10 went on to win the game played at FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading, 6-3. It was the fourth annual all-star game between the two leagues.

Minor League Update

Buddy Hernandez, a Daniel Boone High School graduate, is pitching for Camden in the Independent League.

Currently he is 1-2 with an ERA of 4.56 and three saves. In 23 2/3 innings, Hernandez has allowed 20 hits and 12 walks, while fanning 21.
