The most popular event of the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series is the Grandview Thunder 5-25's, set for Tuesday night, August 12. On the racing program is five division of racing, competing in five feature events.There are NO Time Trials, NO Heat Races, NO Qualifying of any kind, just five awesome feature events all getting underway at 7:30 p.m.
The five show case divisions include the 358 NASCAR Modifieds, the URC Sprint Cars, the 600 Sprints, Rolling Thunder Legends and the 600 Modifieds. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. with race time set for 7:30 p.m.
For the first time race fan, this is just the show you'll want to see. It's a sample of five divisions or racing with the benefit of seeing five features all in one night.
More then 100 race cars will fill the pits on Tuesday night, August 12.
In the 358 NASCAR Modified ranks, look for Doug Manmiller to be a contender. Manmiller won modified feature on July 1 at Grandview and is a three time Thunder on the Hill modified feature winner.
Jeff Strunk owns six Thunder wins and he'll be a contender along with Craig VonDohren, Ryan Godown, MeMe DeSantis, Kerry Kratz, Terry Meitzler, Mike Gular and Kevin Hirthler just to name a few.
For the URC Sprints, look for Chris Coyle in the BPG Racing #4 to defend his Thunder win of 2007 along with Dave Ely, Davey Sammons, Ed Aikin, Kramer Williamson, Mark Bitner and Jason Clauss to name a few.
The 600 Sprints will be part of the August Thunder event with contenders Heath Hehnly, Shane Lewis, Alex Bright, Ryan Smith, Robbie Kendall, Doug Snyder, Jeff Hartman, Bill Thomas, Stephanie Stevens and Jason VonDohren already signed-up to run the show.
Also on the program will be the Rolling Thunder Legends with Frank Polmeda, Randy Kissinger, Jason Rochelle, Josh $25 and a license is not required.
Grandview Speedway is located on Passmore Road, off Route 100 in Bechtelsville, PA (19505), just ten mile north of Pottstown.
