Faith Formation for all ages takes place at 9 a.m. Sunday mornings. What is Faith Formation? You know this as Sunday School. It’s about gathering and sharing, learning and listening, questioning and wrestling. It’s about going deeper and forming (or re-forming, or informing) our faith. Currently, the Adult Faith Formation class is exploring the Parables of Jesus. The Confirmation Class is delving into who Jesus is for us today. All are invited.

Worship with us on Fifth Sunday in Lent on April 7 at our ONE worship services at 9 a.m. Pr. David Penman, Bridge Pastor, will lead the congregation in a Holy Communion worship service, as well as present the Children’s Sermon and the Sermon for the morning. During the service, we invite members to come forward who are in need of Healing and special prayers. Rehearsal for all those who will be readers in the Passion will be held after worship. Confirmation will be held at 7:45 a.m. in room I. Sunday School for all ages will be held in room H at 8:15 a.m. The Adult Sunday School class will be held in room H at 10:15 a.m. Those ministering at the 9 a.m. service are: Acolyte; Hunter Hoffman, Lector; Diane Houck, Communion Assist: Nancy Fioriglio, and Greeters/Ushers; Ginnie Wilkinson and Bruce Houck.
Pastor Penman’s office hours are on Mondays from 9 – 11 a.m. The Bell Choir will rehearse on April 8 at 6:30 p.m. All newsletter articles for the May Niantic News are due into the office by April 9. At 9:30 a.m. on April 9, Quilt Tying will be held in room H in the church. Then at 11 a.m., the Lutheran Ladies will travel to Snuzzles in Dryville for lunch. Later that evening, the Finance committee will meet at 7:30 p.m. in room B. On April 10, we will have our final Soup Supper at 6 p.m. in room H/parlor, which will be followed by the mid-week Lenten service at 7 p.m. in the parlor. The Senior Choir will rehearse immediately following the Lent Service on April 10. The Girl Scouts will meet in the social hall of the church on April 11 at 6:30 p.m. The “Journey’s through Grief” final session will be held on April 11 at 7 p.m. in room H, downstairs in the church. Weather permitting; the Property committee will have a Work Day on April 13 beginning at 9 a.m.

Join us for the Lenten Hymn Festival, “beautiful Fragrance.” On this day, we will sing of our love for Jesus as together we lift our voices to sing songs of sorrow mingled with joy.
