On Feb. 17, we continue our Celebrating Ministry Worship Series honoring the importance of ministry by the Youth in our Church. Youth Members will deliver the message and lead the services at the 7:45 am and 10:20 am services (nursery available at second service); All are welcome; Girl Scouts at 6:30 pm; Christian Journeys at 7pm in the Chapel; All are welcome.

Wednesday: Shepherd’s Café from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm; Pay as you are able; All are welcome; Senior Choir Rehearsal at 7 pm.

Scout Sunday was observed on Feb. 10. Scouts Ellis Pail and Jason Moyer led the congregation in pledges to the Christian and American flag. Ellis and Jason were joined by James Moyer and Caleb Silver to serve as ushers.

Scout Troop #291 will have an overnight at the church on Friday.

Boy Scouts meet Monday at 7 p.m. Cub Scouts meet Thursday at 7 p.m. AA groups meet at the church on Wednesdays at 8 p.m., Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m. Al Anon meets in the church on Tuesdays at 8 p.m.

Boy Scout Troop 511 will sponsor Hoagie Sales February through May on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Place orders on the 2nd Tuesday. There is ham, turkey, Italian or cheese—lettuce, onion, tomato, sides hot peppers or sweet peppers, Italian or mayo packets. To volunteer and to order as a new person, contact Kitty Isett. Worship with us on Sixth Sunday after Epiphany on Feb. 17 at our ONE worship services at 9 a.m. Bridge Pastor, Pr. David Penman will lead the congregation in a Holy Communion worship service, present the Children’s Sermon as well as present the Sermon for the morning. Confirmation will be held at 7:45 a.m. in room I. Sunday School for all ages will be held in room B at 8:15 a.m. The Adult Sunday School class will be held in room H at 10:15 a.m. Those ministering at the 9 a.m. service are: Acolyte; Catherine Shade, Lector; Evan Shade, and Greeters/Ushers; Kelly and Shawn Shade.

The Church Office will be closed on Feb. 18 in observance of President’s Day. The Grief Group will meet for lunch on Feb. 20 at 11 a.m. at the Americana Diner, Rte. 100. Choir rehearsals will be held on Feb. 20 with Bells beginning at 6:30 p.m. and Senior Choir at 7:30 p.m. Christ Lutheran members are invited to join area church and the community in the Miller-Keystone Blood Drive being held on Feb. 21 from 2:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Calvary UCC, Rte. 100. The Girl Scouts will meet in the social hall of the church on Feb. 21 at 6:30 p.m.

Our 8:30 a.m. Bible Study will be held Sunday. We will meet to explore the lectionary readings of the day. Come to ponder. Come to discuss. Come to listen. Come to learn.

Join us at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday for worship. On Sunday we will celebrate the Sixth Sunday after Epiphany. The sermon will focus on Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians, and specifically, The Resurrection of the Dead. We welcome Pat Nyce as our guest organist for the day!

The Adult Forum will study first Corinthians, discussing “What then am I?” based on Corinthians 3:1-4:5.

Faith Formation for all ages takes place at 9 am Sunday mornings. What is Faith Formation? You know this as Sunday School. It’s about gathering and sharing, learning and listening, questioning and wrestling. It’s about going deeper and forming (or re-forming, or informing) our faith. Currently, the Adult Faith Formation class is exploring the Parables of Jesus. The Confirmation Class is delving into who Jesus is for us today. All are invited to join us!

Mark your calendars! Our first community meal of 2019 will be held Feb. 23. All are invited to come to the table to be fed with food and with companionship. All are welcome at the table!
