Worship with us on 2nd Sunday of Advent on Dec. 9 at our ONE worship services at 9 a.m. Bridge Pastor, Pr. David Penman, will be leading the congregation in the worship service, preach the morning sermon, as well as present the Children’s Sermon. During the service we will light the second Advent candle in preparation of the coming of Christ. Confirmation will be held at 7:45 a.m. in room I. Sunday School for children will be held in room B and Sunday School for the Adults will be held in room H with both beginning at 10:15 a.m. Those ministering at the 9:00 a.m. service are: Acolyte; Emily Francisco, Lector; Nancy Fioriglio, and Greeters/Ushers; Nancy Fioriglio and Holly Francisco.

On Dec. 12, the Bell Choir will rehearse at 6:30 p.m. followed by the rehearsal of the Senior Choir at 7:30 p.m. The Ladies Night Out Holiday Gathering will be held on Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. at Pizza Como in Pennsburg. A congregational meeting is scheduled for Dec. 9 immediately following the 10:15 service. The purpose of the meeting will be to review, and consider for approval, a proposed budget for 2019, and also to elect new council members.

The Cantata “Rhapsody in Bluegrass” will be presented on Dec. 16 at the 10:15 AM worship service, followed by a Potluck Luncheon. Snow Date will be Dec. 30. A second presentation of the Cantata will be held at 3 p.m. on Dec. 30 followed by refreshments.

Our 8:30 a.m. Bible Study will be held Sunday. We will meet to explore the lectionary readings of the day.

Join us at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday for worship. On Sunday we observe the second Sunday in Advent. The second candle in the Advent wreath will be lighted, and the choir will sing, “Waiting, Wandering, Wondering,” by Schram.

JAM (Jesus and Me) class participants will sit with their families in church until after “Time for the Children.” Then, they will go to JAM Class, and return for a blessing or communion.

Immediately following the service, a brief congregational meeting will be held to elect members to Congregation Council. Presently, there are four positions that can be filled.

Youth Choir will meet to rehearse after the service.

The Adult Forum will meet following the service to discuss “Faith and Handel’s Messiah,” in the book they’re studying – “Lutheran Questions and Lutheran Answers” by Martin E. Marty.

Dec. 10 is the deadline for newsletter articles, and Dec. 15 is the deadline for committee chairpersons to submit reports for the book of reports for the annual meeting.

The Community Clothing Rack will be open Wednesday from 1-4 p.m. for clothing donations.

Handbell choir will rehearse Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., and the Senior Choir will rehearse at 7:30 p.m. Also, catechism will meet Wednesday night at 6 for Rejoicing Spirits.

Congregation Council will meet on Thursday night at 6:45 p.m. The Community Clothing Rack will be open from 6-8 p.m. for clothing distribution.
