Britney Jeschonek, 13, a resident of Topton in Berks County, has become state royalty with PageantDoor as the 2018-19 Teen Miss Pennsylvania. She will be representing the state of Pennsylvania at nationals in March 2019 in Orlando, Fla. to compete for the national title.
An eighth grader at Brandywine Heights Middle School via their virtual school platform, she has been participating pageants for five years now.
Jeschonek will be making appearances, doing community projects, volunteering, and more. She’s already working on a school supply drive, will be doing a good and toy drive this fall, collecting cards for the elderly, and more. She has a few appearances set up already as well, and is open to scheduling others.
Her platforms that she represents are The Crown C.A.R.E.S., which is an anti-bullying campaign, Crowns with a Cause: Stopping Childhood Hunger, and her personal platform - In a world where you can be anything...be yourself. As a special needs child herself, she wants to show others with special needs that they can achieve their dreams. She wants to be a voice for those with special needs, and a role model to them. She is trying to show that despite her differences she is still human, still capable, and still able to make a difference in the world.
