As Keith Romig, Legion Rider, strung the lights on the 60-foot pine tree at the Morgantown American Legion, the members looked on and guided him to make the tree beautiful for our community. The Legion had a tree lighting ceremony for the community on Dec. 1. Folks were drinking hot chocolate and singing Christmas carols. Auxiliary member Jan Creitz stated, “It was nice to see our community come together for this holiday season." Commander Troy Trupe stated “Each year we have a children’s Christmas party with Santa giving out presents to the children. We collect toys for Toys for Tots sponsored by the Marine Corp and we always contribute and visit Indiantown Gap Cemetery to lay wreaths for Wreaths Across America. I’m proud and thank our members for all the hard work they do throughout the year.”
