Bravo Pizza is now open in Pughtown/Bucktown, located on Route 100 at The Shoppes of Pughtown, 3/4 mile south of Route 23.
Antonio DeLuca is the restaurant manager. He brings 29 years of experience in a combination of family-owned restaurant businesses and other shops.
DeLuca says that Bravo Pizza's aim is to be a valued part of the community, by serving all delicious Italian-style foods for lunch and dinner.
The restaurant seats approximately 40 people in a very clean, comfortable setting. Tables and booths are available. The decor is Italian-style, pleasant and bright with a tile floor. When the weather breaks, Bravo will also offer seating outside, with tables shaded by umbrellas.
When you walk inside, immediately you are faced with a display counter of delicious-looking food. Then, you ponder your fare - will it be pizza (15+ styles, some are very deep dish), strombolis or calzone? Maybe you're in the mood for pasta - spaghetti, ziti, ravioli, lasagne and chicken parmesan are among the offerings - served with a fresh salad and garlic roll. Perhaps a salad alone is tempting you - a large variety is displayed, including garden, antipasto, Italian or salad of the day. DeLuca says that of course the restaurant serves cheesesteaks (including chicken), meatball sandwiches and parmesan sandwiches and subs or hoagies are made to order from a large menu selection. Side orders include fries, onion rings, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, meatballs, sausages and soup of the day.
DeLuca and his staff begin their day at 9 a.m., preparing the specialty dishes. He likes to remind everyone that everything is made on site, "just like home cooking." The staff prides itself on using the finest ingredients like prosciutto (ham imported from Italy).
Bravo Pizza hours are Monday through Thursday, 10:30-9:30, Friday and Saturday, 10:30-10:30, and Sunday, 11-9:30. The phone number there is (610) 469-2500.
