First Thursday Program

The Historical Society of Berks County will present a program on "Pennsylvania Dutch Folk Medicine" February 7 at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast, followed by the program at 9 a.m. Cost $1 per person for members and $2. for non-members. For more information call 610-375-4375

Festival of Arts

The Woman's community Club of Uwchlan will hold its regular meeting on Feb. 8 at the historic Uwchlan Meeting House, Lionville. Back Room Theater

The Coatesville Cultural Society will present Medea, a dramatic reading on February 8 at 7:30 p.m. on February 9 at 7: 30 p.m. it will be Oni Lasana: Lias Mother, a dramatic performance of Paul Dunbar's poetry. On Sunday, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. Woody Woodring, musician will hold an Old-Fashioned music jam. All programs are held at the Back Room Theater located at 143 East Lincoln Highway, Coatesville.

Breakfast

Stevens Fire Company will hold an "All You Can Eat" breakfast February 9 from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. Adults $4.50, ages 6-12 are $2.25 and under age 5 are free.

John Bressler on Stage

Travel Movie

The Honey Brook Women's Club will meet February 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Honey Brook Borough Hall. They will be working on a special project for a family in Honey Brook.

Basket/Bear Bingo

The Tulip Conference will host Basket/Bear Bingo February 17 at the Birdsboro Fire Company, Birdsboro. The bingo will help raise money for the Tulip Conference that will be held April 6. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with games beginning at 1 p.m. Cost $20 for a 6 card/ 20 game package. There will be special games and raffles as well. Broadway Musical

The Terre Hill Days Committee will be holding a lunch in the Community Center Fridays in February from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. homemade soups, desserts and breads will be served along with sandwiches and a weekly special. All proceeds benefit the Terre Hill Park Committee.

Relay For Life

The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of Exeter is looking for teams of family, friends, and co-workers. Each dollar raised offers hope, progress and answers. Help Free Tax

AARP and the IRS again will provide free tax assistance for the elderly every Tuesday and Thursday until April 11 from 9 a.m. until noon at the Village Library in Morgantown. You do not have to belong to AARP to use this service. Please bring all your tax forms, booklets and a copy of your year 2000 tax returns.

Caregiver's Support Group

The Caregiver's Support Group affiliated with HEALTHSOUTH, Reading Rehabilitation Hospital offers caregiver support, comfort, guidance and education through specialization and networking. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. and the fourth Thursday of the month from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Meetings are held at HEALTHSOUTH, 1623 Morgantown Road, Reading.
