Plowville Playground.

The playground will be open July 1- Aug. 9 from 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the pavilion and ball field at Robeson Lutheran Church in Plowville. All children ages 6 through 14 are welcomed to attend. Registration will be held at the playground July 1 or the first day your child attends playground. All children are asked to bring a drink with them to the playground.

Summer Arts Programs

The New Holland Summer Arts will present "Rhythm & Music" with Janet and Johnnie O'Such July 9, "The Forty Niners Chorus" will perform July 13 and July 14 the "Lighthouse Tabernacle Worship Band" will be on stage. All programs are held at 7 p.m. in New Holland Community Park.

After 5 Club

U.S.C.G. Auxiliary Flotilla 11-04 will meet July 10 at 18:00 hours at the USCG Aux. Training Base, 2058 River Road, Reading.


Honey Brook Fire Company Carnival will be held July 13. Free admission, games, dunk tank, bingo, live music starts at 7 p.m. Good food includes chicken corn soup, Gate prizes awarded nightly with $1,000 awarded last night of the carnival.

Summer Picnic

The Elverson Garden Club will hold its Annual Summer Picnic at the home of Fred and Susan Rey July 11 at 6:30 p.m. Hot dogs, rolls, beverages provided. Members are to bring a covered dish, place settings and lawn chairs. All family members are welcome.

Music in the Grove

St. John Center Lutheran Center will feature the "Fiddlesticks" featuring gospel, country, old time music Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14 "Lanchester Bluegrass will be on stage. All shows are at 7 p.m. The church is located at 599 Reading Road (Rt. 625), a few miles south of Bowmansville.

Chicken BBQ

Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church will hold a Chicken BBQ and Bake Sale July 14 in the parking lot. Take out chicken halves $3.50 each will be available at 10 a.m. The church is located at the intersection of Rts. 322 and 897 in East Earl.

Standing Board Shoot

Elverson Rod & Gun Club will hold a Standing Board Shoot Sat., July 13 at 12:30 p.m. for adults and children age 12 and older. Meat Trays and prizes.

Yard Sale
