We Chester County residents may lose a vital and necessary service to the community: The Chester County Library's Bookmobile. This fabulous service allows us to e-mail or phone in book orders, which are then brought to us at convenient locations throughout the county. The bookmobile brings information, literature and videos - free of charge or for a nominal fee - to many for whom transportation is difficult or impossible, school children, seniors, handicapped citizens, mothers with young children, and minority populations.

Surely Chester County, one of the wealthiest counties in our nation, can afford to continue this excellent and low-cost service. I ask you to please contact the following decision-makers to let them know that we need our Bookmobile.

* Christopher Fiorentino, chair of the Library Trustees, cfiorentino@comcast.met or (610) 436-2930.

* Cecy Keller, director of Library System: (610) 280-2600 (ask for Keller).
