The Twin Valley Raiders just, couldn't, get there against Oley Valley Tuesday night losing a hard fought game, 38-35.

With five minutes to go in the game the Raiders trailed Oley Valley by 12 after the Lynx went on a 12-1 run in the third quarter.

Then the Raiders started their run.

First, Carrie Weinhold made a three from beyond the arc to bring the score to 28-36 with 2:44 remaining in the game.

Then, Katie Hix got a fast break started after she came up with a huge block on an Oley Valley player. The outlet pass ended up in the hands of Kayla Wallace who put in the easy layup.

Score: 36-30.

Now, with 1:21 remaining Twin Valley's Jenna DiGiacomo drained a three to bring the Raiders within three points.

Oley then turned the ball over, and DiGiacomo hit a 16 footer to bring the Raiders within one.

With about 30 seconds left in the game, the Raiders had clawed their way back into the mix with the score, 36-35.

After a Raider foul, Oley Valley missed both free throw attempts, and Coach McGinnis called a time out.

They ran a play for standout Katie Hix, but the ball soared over her head and into Oley Valley's possession.

After Oley Valley's Nicole Valley made both of her free throws, the Raiders trailed, 38-35.

They would get another shot at a last second possession, but again, they turned the ball over.

Carrie Weinhold led the Raiders with 10 points.

The Twin Valley Raiders are currently 8-4, and sit atop their division.
