Local Boys Scout Troop 48 and Cub Scout Pack 148 joined together to support a recent Scouting for Food in the area. As part of the Scouting for food program, scouts leave empty grocery bags on residents’ doors and return a following Saturday to pick up what items the residents have donated. This year, the scouts retrieved 450 bags, for a total of over 2,400 pounds of grocery items. The scouts provided the grocery items to local CrossNet Ministries Food and Nutrition Center.
