The Christmas spirit is alive and well at the Twin Valley Fire Department.

Beginning on Dec. 1, the lot at the firehouse will be filled with hundreds of pine trees as firefighters open the door on their 5th annual Christmas tree sale. The sale runs through Dec. 19.

"All the trees are Dou-glas Firs," says Twin Vall-ey's Chief Engineer Corey Hostetler. "We've got them in many shapes and sizes."

The volunteer firefighters, he says, run the whole tree sale from picking up the trees, unpacking them, displaying them, selling, and securing them to vehicles for transport. Proceeds from the sale go to support the fire station.

Hours are weekdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The firehouse is at 3307 Main Street in Morgan-town.

Hostetler also reminds residents of Morgantown and Elverson to be on the lookout for Santa, too. "Look for Santa to make an early appearance on the fire trucks," he says.

"Kids will get a chance to meet Ol' Saint Nick himself, and receive candy from the firefighters."
