ELVERSON - Twin Valley's golf team will benefit from it's depth over the course of this season, with several returning starters and talented newcomers all striving for the county title.
Seniors Tyler Reichardt and Kevin Kroener will lead the Raiders this year. According to head golf coach Larry Bare, Reichardt is a three-year starter who makes regular appearances in Districts play and Kroener is a two-year letter winner.
Frank Cardo, Tyler Cloetingh and Justin Pacana are all seniors with varsity experience and will be joined by junior Brandon Bateman, "a two-year letter winner who has worked really hard this summer to improve his game," said Bare.
"Newcomers Juniors Alex Olenginski and Dylan DiNoto have shown promise this summer," Bare said. "We have a good sophomore class that includes James Grill, Mike George, Kris Kirkwood, T.J. Ward, Graham Davis and Garrett Shaw. We have two freshmen that are working hard to improve their games in Matt Welsh and Greg Gaydos."
Bare said that the team looks to be very competitive in Berks II.
"Our main rivals will be Daniel Boone, who has won the division the last two seasons, and Fleetwood. We also must play well against Muhlenberg and Conrad Weiser and in our crossover games against Division 1."
