St. John Hill UCC and St. Joseph’s Hill Lutheran Church, to honor local veterans and will be lighting luminaries on St. Joseph’s Hill Union Cemetery on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 6 to 10 p.m.
The community is invited to come out to enjoy this “glowing” event by driving by 620 Hill Church Road, Boyertown, or stopping in to see a more breathtaking view from the second floor Sunday school and kitchen windows of St John’s UCC.
The church will be open for all to take in the view of the entire cemetery.
For those interested in honoring a veteran(s) of their choice, donations in any amount can be made by Nov. 11. Please make checks payable to: St. John’s Hill UCC and put “Veteran Luminaries” on the memo line. Checks can be mailed to the church at 620 Hill Church Road, Boyertown, Pa. 19512.
On the evening of the event, a list of sponsors and those honored or remembered will be posted in the church for everyone to see that evening. Any proceeds from these donations will be donated to the Wounded Warriors Project in honor of the veterans of the Hill Churches.
Both Churches on the Hill appreciate all our veterans for their courage, dedication and the freedom they continue to give us in the United States.
