Doug and Liz Graybill of Veterans Making A Difference, a non-profit based in Reading, shared their story of outreach to veterans at the Shartlesville Lions Club this month.
Both are Veterans themselves and they are “passionate about veterans.” That outreach is over 20 years in action.
In their work they touch the lives of veterans of “6 war zones.”
That outreach includes providing meals, a food pantry, a place to meet with other veterans, and help with getting veterans benefits, as well as hands-on help. They are now located at the Hope Mission complex.
The club members were so appreciative of the work that they gave the duo a donation to help them in support of their services.
