William G. Sanders, 77, Fleetwood, died June 6, 2008, in the Lutheran Home at Topton.He was the husband of Eva (Heydt) Sanders. They celebrated 52 years of marriage on May 19.

Born in Rockland Township, he was a son of the late Francis and Ethel Arlene (Breidegam) Sanders.

Sanders had worked many years for Kern Masonry, Topton, until retiring in 1990.

He was a member of Christ Mertz Lutheran Church, Rockland Township.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

An avid hunter, he belonged to three hunting groups: Pine Creek Hunting Camp, Centre County; Pike Township Sportsman's Association; and Kempton Rod and Gun Club. He also belonged to Lyons Fire Company.

Survivors include his wife and a son, Randy S. Sanders, Oley; and three daughters: Susan J. (Sanders), wife of Mark F. Smith, Walnuttown; Joy E. (Sanders) Adams, wife of Steven Snyder, Rockland Township; and Nancy C. (Sanders), wife of James Kahl, Alsace Manor.

Other survivors include four grandchildren: Jason Smith, Jessica Wilson, Gregory Adams and Melissa Adams; and five great-grandchildren: Daniel, Dalton, Dylan, Blake and Saige.

Services were held at Mae A. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 117 W. Main St., Fleetwood. Burial was in Hope Cemetery, Dryville.
