Allentown resident Kendrick Bogle often arrived for his shift at East Penn Manufacturing Co. Inc., Richmond Township, several hours early. On the morning of April 24, Bogle was fatally stabbed outside of the plant where he has worked for the past 23 years.

That morning, Bogle arrived at work early, just as he had many times before. Co-workers said he would sometimes arrive early to work so he wouldn't have to drive in the dark. Usually, Bogle would simply rest in his car until it was time to start his 11 p.m. shift.

On this particular day though, someone attacked th 62-year-old Bogle as he napped in his car. Pennsylvania State Police say that sometime between 7 and 11 p.m., unknown assailants entered Bogle's vehicle and commenced the attack.

According to Berks County Deputy Coroner Jonn H. Hollenbach, Bogle died of multiple stab wounds suffered while trying to defend himself against his attacker.

Still without any arrests in the case, State Police have interviewed hundreds of workers of East Penn

Manufacturing Co. Inc. and surrounding buildings in search of leads.

State Police Public Information

Officer Edward F. Maloney said that because the plant is so large, having nearly 5,000 workers, hundreds of interviews were required.

So far, the details of the slaying have left co- workers and family members baffled. Now, Bogle's wife,

Adrianna, and daughter, Stacey, are left left wondering what caused the brutal homicide.

Vice President of Human

Resources at East Penn

Manufacturing Co. Inc. Bob Harrop issued a statement describing Bogle as a hard and dedicated worker.

" Our hearts and thoughts and prayers go out to his family, and we have expressed our deepest sympathy to them," explained Harrop.

The company offered counseling to any employees who needed it on

April 25.
