The Philadelphia Phillies announced their Opening Day roster Thursday, but still have room to make an addition before Friday night’s opener against the Miami Marlins at Citizens Bank Park to reach the 30-player limit.

Utility man Phil Gosselin, who hit .262 in 44 games last season and was stinging the ball in summer camp, will be added prior to the game, Phils general manager Matt Klentak said later Thursday.

The roster includes 16 pitchers, two catchers, five infielders and six outfielders.

Teams are allowed to carry 30 players for the first two weeks of this coronavirus-delayed season. That number shrinks to 28 for the next two weeks, then must be reduced to 26.

Right-handed pitchers: Jake Arrieta, Zach Eflin, Deolis Guerra, Tommy Hunter, Trevor Kelley, Reggie McClain, Hector Neris, Aaron Nola, Nick Pivetta, Ramon Rosso, Vince Velasquez and Zack Wheeler.

Left-handed pitchers: Jose Alvarez, Austin Davis, Cole Irvin and Adam Morgan.

Catchers: Andrew Knapp, J.T. Realmuto.

Infielders: Didi Gregorius, Rhys Hoskins, Scott Kingery, Jean Segura and Neil Walker.

Outfielders: Jay Bruce, Kyle Garlick, Bryce Harper, Adam Haseley, Andrew McCutchen and Roman Quinn.

Kelley, Rosso and Walker were non-roster invitees who had their contracts selected Thursday. To make room on the 40-man roster, pitcher Robert Stock was designated for assignment.

In addition, Davis, Hunter, Kingery and Neris were reinstated from the injured list. Pitchers Seranthony Dominguez, David Robertson and Ranger Suarez were placed on the injured list.

Nine players are on their first Opening Day roster: Davis, Garlick, Guerra, Haseley, Irvin, Kelley, McClain, Quinn and Rosso.
