St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Route 662 in Douglassville will present a Volunteer Fair on Monday, Jan. 15, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The date is chosen as it is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, traditionally a day of service.

A wide variety and over 35 local organizations will join us; some for profit, most are non-profit. From the Colebrookdale Railroad to the Daniel Boone Homestead; from the Amity Fire Company to the Animal Rescue League; from the Monocacy Hill Conservation Area to the First Street Players; from Miller-Keystone Blood to the Boone Area Library.

The church welcomes all to the Fellowship Hall. The event organizations will have door prizes and give-aways. Talk with their representatives. Learn more about their missions, their events, and the ways their volunteers help them succeed.

“The event will host a variety of nonprofit organizations, conveniently located all in one place,” said Jim Trout, organizer and committee chairperson.”The event is for anyone who’s thought about volunteering and would like to learn more about local causes and ways to support them.”
